ACM Spring 2023: First General
Mark your calendars for the Association for Computing Machinery's (ACM) first general meeting this upcoming semester! It will be on Tuesday, January 17th, at 5:00pm, 2023 at POST 127.
ACM is the University of Hawaii at Manoa's largest computer science student organization. We are dedicated to helping students connect with industry professionals and to be informed about available internships, events, the ICSpace, and the many computer science clubs available to join. The following clubs (different interest-focused sub-groups ACM is split into) will be going over their planned club activities and meeting date/times:
Join us to see your fellow computer-science-loving classmates and to ask any questions you have about the clubs. We welcome students of all different backgrounds, interests, and skill levels to join our community and share our passion for computer science. We hope to see you there!

DRC Summer 2023 Internship Information Session
The Decision Research Corporation will be holding a virtual information session on their Summer 2023 Internship program. The information session will be held virtually on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 2pm-3pm HST.

Spring 2023 Discover AI
University of Hawai'i- Mānoa and nonprofit AI4ALL have partnered to offer students the opportunity to apply to the College Pathways Discover AI program for Spring 2023. Discover AI is a 10 week virtual program that provides students with a project-based introduction to computer science, machine learning, data, artificial intelligence and tech careers through the lens of societal and ethics impact. In addition, students get access to AI industry leaders and are guided through a roadmap with the goal of cultivating a future career in the AI industry.
Students that complete the program will emerge with actionable next steps in pursuing an academic or career path in AI - and the opportunity to continue in the following semester to our second program, Apply AI and direct mentorship from industry leaders in the AI and tech industry from companies like Google, Capital One, Facebook, Slalom Consulting, Accenture, Pearson and more.

The Foreign Affairs Information Technology (FAIT) Fellowship is designed for highly talented individuals who want to pursue an IT-related undergraduate or graduate degree and a career in the Foreign Service. This two-year fellowship program funded by the U.S. Department of State provides academic funding, internships, professional development and mentorship, and culminates in a career in the Foreign Service as an Information Management Specialist (IMS).
