If so, please join us for this really wonderful small group.
Pastor Candice and Suzin Sciabarasi are co-facilitating Embracing Evangelism, a small group activity exploring evangelism as a spiritual practice rooted in joy, gratitude, and holy curiosity; a practice through which we seek and speak of Jesus’ loving presence and invite shared experiences. The group will meet for 1 hour for six weeks. There’s group discussions, videos, and time for reflection. View a video trailer of the course.
If you’re interested, please contact Suzin Sciabarasi as soon as possible as the class will begin sometime next week: suzsciabarasi@gmail.com or text 512-422-6848. Day and time TBD based on participant availability. We look forward to hearing from you!

Journeying Together: Understanding and Nurturing the Spiritual Lives of Our Children
During the Sunday School hour on Jan. 29. Activities and care will be provided for children during the presentation.
Ever wonder about what spirituality really means? Do you wonder how to raise your child to love God and others? What’s the best way to show children who Jesus is?
Parents, grandparents and interested adults, please join Becki Stewart as this presentation explores the role community, true play, Bible stories, and existential questions interact to nurture and support our spiritual lives.
New Topic for Adult Bible Study After Worship
What is the relationship between religion and government? In these polarized times it is controversial, and in Biblical times it was no different. What does the Bible teach us about living as Christians amid the turmoil of politics?
Join us for adult Bible study after worship for a series of discussions inspired by the recent book, “Render unto Ceasar,” by John Dominic Crossan.
If you have an item for the Thursday weekly newsletter or something to add to the website calendar, please email Renee Carlson. Due date for the newsletter is 7:00 p.m. Wednesdays.
So about the weather: Weather permitting, we worship outdoors year-round under the oaks.
But for the coming winter months, whenever the weather is cold or rainy, see directions below to Ranch Park, across the road from New Life. And what to expect:
Ranch Park is directly across the street from New Life. But before you get to New Life, turn right on Event Center Drive. Then when you turn into the parking lot, drive around and park on the backside of the building, across from the playground (see photo 1). Enter in the door next to the air handler (see photo 2).
There will be a large temporary sign prominently placed on our usual entrance sign to New Life to let everyone know when we are at Ranch Park due to the weather.
So no guessing. Just come to service as usual and follow the directions accordingly.
The "small room" at Ranch Park (photo 3) is heated, but please dress comfortably in layers in case of fluctuations in the room temperature. There are bathrooms, and there is an entrance ramp for folks with mobility concerns.
It takes a lot of volunteer work to move us from our outdoor Under the Oaks sanctuary to Ranch Park and back. Please consider volunteering to load the vans and SUVs of the team after worship. And if you can't do that, please pray for us!
