Hi, Reckless ones

A new year, an old me. I have unearthed some old tapes of me from 1977 - 1984 and, after converting them to digital have discovered some wee gems. I thought they'd all be rubbish, and fair enough, some of them are, but a surprising amount are pretty good encapsulations of the time. The sound quality is awful, so I've decided to re-record them using 21st century technology. This will be a mammoth job, so look out for some trickling out in the near future.

In the present, however, the prime minister continues to be rubbish, so I posted up a track from the Rishi Hell and the Tabloids album - 'Liars Wahey!'

In a surprise development, PIL have put forwad a track as a possible entrant for Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest. Amazingly, it's pretty good, so I posted up a John Lydon track from the Black Paternoster album - 'Ever Get The Feeling You've Been Cheated?'

Back to Scotland, and a couple of football commentators on the Arbroath Dunfermline game last week provided me with class samples which I mixed with a Rufus Thomas track to produce 'Cheesy Peeps.' The guy actually says 'Jeezy Peeps' in the commentary, but I've always said, 'Cheesy Peeps.' A quick online survey revealed that most people say 'Jeezy Peeps.' Barbarians.

Andrew Bridgen MP was suspended this week for rank stupidity after comparing Covid to the Holocaust, so another run out for 'Their Mummies All Told Them They're Clever.'

And finally, Matt Berry did a hilarious reading of Prince Harry's book, so I wheeled out another old track from Black Paternoster of him doing a 'Relaxation' tape.
