Lua Kobayashi
“Where a Forest Once Grew”

Gallery Opening Friday, January 13, 2023, from 5-9 pm
1027 Westwood Blvd.

Lua’s work, “Where a Forest Once Grew,” is a love letter to her Grandmother as she shares her life and story of a Japanese-American Nisei through her belongings and memories. It has taken many forms in its development but is taking its final form in this show in lightboxes.

“Where a Forest Once Grew” gallery will be open on weekends from 1-5 pm until January 28 and can also be seen at night, 24 hours a day; if you can only drive by, the work transforms from day to night.
