UPDATED CALENDAR FOR JANUARY

Happy Friday, Everyone!

Apparently, I was too eager to get the newsletter out -- I have a correction to the survey link (which went to an old survey for one of our Summer Sojourns) and a couple of updates for the calendar that I inadvertently omitted! One is an invitation from our sister churches to join in a prayer ministry this month. Here is a description of the new event along with our updated calendar at the bottom, and a corrected link to the survey on Ministering to the Hungry.

I hope everyone will take the survey -- it is a way for you to share your thoughts and have a voice as we explore our future. It is short and should only take a couple of minutes of your time, and your answers will be very helpful in our Sacred Conversations.

January 18-22: Week of Prayer for Christian Unity - We are invited by Rev. Scott Cady pastor at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Torrington and Rev. Sara Krhla at Church of Christ Congregational in Goshen to participate in the upcoming Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which begins January 18 and culminates January 25.

Throughout the week, please take a few moments each day to pray for peace and unity amongst Christians and throughout the world.  Please also consider going to the prayer service on the 25th.So, wherever you are that week, tLike our Sojourns, our prayers cost us only a bit of our time yet may create ripples that spread out far and wide! This prayerful week of reflection is certainly a ministry that our faith community can participate in!  I don't have full details yet, but I believe there is an in-person service scheduled for 7:00 PM on Wednesday evening, January 25 at St. Paul's. (I will supply more details when received.) It is a time to reflect on what unites us and commit ourselves to confront oppression and division amongst humanity. This annual ecumenical celebration invites Christians around the globe to pray for the unity of all Christians.

Peace and Blessings,
Pastor Kristie
