As we head into the long holiday weekend, we honor the life, legacy, and impact of national civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., on Monday, January 16, 2023.

The San Diego Police Foundation’s award-winning SafetyNet: Smart Cyber Choices program is coming to The Winston School on Friday, February 10, 2023, for presentations to our middle and high school students. In collaboration with the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (SD-ICAC), topics covered include:

  • Cyberbullying

  • Privacy

  • Computer Security

  • Predators

  • Sexting

  • Identity Theft

  • Plagiarism

  • Gaming

  • Social Networking

  • Sex Trafficking

The Winston School Parent Group urges parents to attend a virtual presentation on Thursday evening, February 9, at 6:30 PM to benefit from the insights students will gain by attending the assemblies the following day. Parents, please let us know if you plan to attend by clicking here.

Student Council Hot Chocolate sales return on Fridays beginning January 27.

Join Interim Head of School Mary Sterling-Torretti on Tuesday, February 28, from 2:30 PM - 3:15 PM for “Pop” on By with Mary, sponsored by the Parent Group for this opportunity to engage in an informal question-and-answer discussion and get to know more about our school and our new school leadership.

There is only one Saturday School session left before the end of the fall semester on Friday, January 20. Students, please use this time to complete any missing assignments.

Best of luck to middle and high school teacher Gerardo Vasquez, who left us for his scheduled deployment with the Air Force Reserves last Friday.  We will look forward to his return to campus this summer and we are grateful for his service.
