 MOSAIC Hosts Andover’s 10th Annual Mixed Heritage Awareness Week
Kicking off the 10th annual Mixed Heritage Awareness Week, MOSAIC, Andover’s mixed heritage affinity group, hosted an open-door viewing and discussion with the Andover community about the role an individual's mixed heritage can play in their lives. In addition to the open event, MOSAIC plans to host a variety of events geared toward showcasing mixed heritage to the Andover community as a whole throughout the week. Vaccines Required, Covid-19 Protocols Remain Unchanged for Start of Winter Term
After the recent spread of the XBB 1.5 variant of Covid-19, Andover returned to campus. The bivalent Covid-19 booster vaccine was required for students who returned to campus, but masking and Covid-19-testing policies were not altered, wrote Dr. Amy Patel, Chief Medical Director and Dean of Health and Wellness, in an email to the Andover community on January 12.  “A Lot of Heart and a Lot of Kindness”: Coach Martha Fenton ’83
In her 28th year at Andover, Head Coach Martha Fenton '83 has led Girls Hockey to an undefeated record. The team also won the Patsy K. Odden Tournament for the second year in a row. Andover Girls Swimming and Diving Opens 50th Season with Win
Opening its 50th season, Andover Girls Swimming and Diving dominated Choate, winning 97-81. The team placed in the top three in four out of seven scored swimming events. Take a look behind the scenes of Andover Edition, an innovative fashion publication run by Andover students. With unique events like a pop-up thrift shop and photoshoots available for anyone to book, the board of Andover Edition hopes to promote discussions around fashion sustainability and celebrate the diversity of fashion through accessible means. Students Foster New Musical Connections at MMEA Northeastern District Music Festival
Last week, 14 students from Andover performed in the annual MMEA (Massachusetts Music Educators Association) Music Festival in the New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall. With a selective audition process, the MMEA performances brought together talented young musicians from across Massachusetts, giving students valuable opportunities to connect with peers beyond the Andover musical community.
