On Sunday, January 29, 2023, Janis Findlay, a former hike leader for the Old Pueblo chapter, is going to lead us on an “Urban Walk”  through historical downtown Tucson. Janis is very knowledgeable about the history of the Old Pueblo.

The tour will start 8a.m. from “The Monica Restaurant,” 40 East Congress Street, 85701. There is free street parking on the weekends. You’ll be able to grab a quick “Caminoesque” breakfast before we start meandering along parts of the “Turquoise Trail” and begin to discover things about Tucson that we never knew before.

Along the way, we will pass a number of beautiful murals, drawn by local artists, which add to the Tucson charm.

The walk will cover approximately 3 miles meandering through the downtown area. At tours end, we plan to go for lunch; those who would like to join us are all welcome…more about that later.
