Hey there—how are you doing?
Have you been feeling like all you are doing is surviving? Feeling like you can’t have one more thing added to your already overflowing plate?
I get it.
Even when life looks different and, in some ways, is just plain hard—but we can still THRIVE.
Let’s be clear, choosing to thrive is not glamorous.
We gotta be willing to sacrifice, fail, make mistakes, accept correction, to face unhealed spaces, be redirected and have the hard talks. Choosing to THRIVE during this time requires facing fear and walking in faith.
Nevertheless, we can still choose to stare down fear and put insecurity in it’s proper place. Release the “shoulds” of your life. You know the what you think you should have, where you thought you should be and the person you thought you would become. Allow yourself to grieve, to feel the hurt, and process your disappointment, BUT don’t stay there. Instead press forward to embrace what God wants to do in you and through you right where you are right NOW.
Be aware though friend!
The THRIVING is not always about the glowup, promotions, speaking engagements, or being seen. Thriving is a condition of the heart.
It’s choosing to get help, to allow ourselves to be vulnerable, to dream again. It’s embracing healing and growth are both messy and beautiful.
We thrive best when we create space for God to work in us and be seen through us.
God is waiting to meet us in this season so we can go from surviving in our own strength to thriving in HIM.
This week’s journal prompts:
1. Where in my life do I feel like I am barely surviving?
2. What does it thriving look like for me in this season?
3. How can I honor God where I am now?
4. What help do I need in this season?
Carve out some time this week to process, pray and plan using these journal prompts on ways you can go from surviving to thriving.
Be encouraged friend, God’s got us.
xoxo,
Mamie
