Celebrate MLK Day - January 16

Blount County MLK Day Events on Monday - MLK March starts at 12:45pm at MLK Center in Alcoa and goes to Maryville College followed by the Community Celebration Program at the Nutt Theatre, Clayton Center. Speech by Rev. Andrew Baskin and music by the MLK choir.

Monday, Feb 6, 6:30 pm - Monthly BCDP Executive Committee Business Meeting - We’ve changed our regular monthly meeting day to the first Monday of every month. The meeting is open to the public. We welcome anyone who is interested in supporting the Democratic platform and participating in BCDP activities. We are meeting via Zoom in February. Sunday, Mar 12 - BCDP Reorganization -The Blount County Democratic Party will hold its biennial election and reorganization on March 12, 2023. Local Democrats will elect representatives to serve two-year terms on the Blount County Democratic Party Executive Committee. All Blount County Democrats are encouraged to attend and participate.
