Pack the Place This Wednesday at 4pm!

 

Calling all CHMS students to “Pack the Place” when our 8th grade boys take on HMS at home this Wednesday! Grab your spirit wear and support our boys’ basketball team.  Echo the Eagle and our cheer squad will be there, and student fans will receive pom poms while they last!

Game will start around 4pm on Wednesday, 1/18!


Positivity for Mrs. Bennington

Please take a moment this week to write a message of encouragement to Mrs. Bennington while she is out.  Parents, students and former students are all invited to share a note of good health and warm wishes to our wonderful CHMS teacher!

7th Grade Parents – Support our Wonderful CHMS Staff

Help us recognize our amazing teachers and staff. We are asking for donations of drinks and snacks to “Stock the Staff Lounges.”

Please drop off items on Friday, January 20th between 8am-9am to the tables outside of the school office. If you need to drop off items before this date/time, please email staffappreciation@chmspto.org to coordinate this.

Buy-a-Brick

Pave the way to the future by purchasing a 4” x 8” red brick engraved with your child’s or family name, which will be placed at the CHMS entrance.

Purchasing a brick is a great way to leave a lasting legacy at CHMS for your child!

$65 of your purchase is tax deductible! Please save or print a copy of your receipt after purchasing.

Your purchase supports the PTO’s ability to provide special events, speakers, technology, and many other initiatives.

Pricing:
$100 for an Individual or Family Brick
$175 for a Business Brick

Inscriptions are limited to 13 characters per line, including spaces between words, with 3 lines per brick. Your inscription will be centered on the brick.

Bricks, ordered on or before February 10, 2023, will be installed before the end of the 2022/23 school year.

Lisa Damour, Ph.D offers guidance to adults on how to help teens open up, and how to keep teens from being overwhelmed by their emotions or feeling at the mercy of their moods.  She provides concrete strategies for dealing with teens arguments, risk-taking, emerging romantic lives, friendships, social media and more.

Our next PTO General Meeting will be held Tuesday, February 28th at 7pm in the CHMS MRC/Library and our guest speaker will be D181’s technologist Randy Wooten. Randy will give an updated talk about what teens and preteens are up to online these days and what we as parents should know to keep our kids safe. A Zoom option will be available. Stay tuned!

FEEDING CHILDREN WORLDWIDE

Thursday, March 16th 6:30-8:00 pm

CHMS is hosting a meal packing event to support orphanages in Venezuela and the Philippines.  We are inviting students and their families to help pack over 10,000 meals to support those in need.
