Welcome back to campus, Lions!

The Lion’s Roar hopes that all students had a wonderful winter break and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We expect students to be ready to take on this new semester and year.

Please make note that the Add/Drop Period: Schedule Adjustment ends at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 18. During the add/drop period, students may make schedule adjustments without receiving a “W” grade for each class dropped; however, students will not be able to drop all of their courses on LeoNet. To drop the last class, students will need to resign from the university and will receive a “W” grade for the last class on their schedule. The final payment deadline for all Add/Drop students registered for Spring 2023 is at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20

The Office of Student Engagement has an abundant amount of activities lined up for their “Winter Welcome” up until Feb. 1. The events this week are:

  •  Wednesday, 1/18: SGA and BCM host the Welcome Back Bonfire at Cook Field at 7 p.m.
  •  Friday, 1/20: The Campus Activities Board presents the 2023 Miss Southeastern Competition at the Columbia Theatre at 7 p.m.
  • Monday, 1/23: The Kappa Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., will host the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March and Remembrance Program starting at Cook Field at 6 p.m.
As always, the Lion’s Roar kept up with stories over the break with our Spring 2023 Back to School Newsletter.
