Each handout includes basic information on a health topic as well as resources for more information. All content is fully available in Spanish and has limited availability in other languages.
Historic Journals & Osteopathic Books

Historic Journals and Osteopathic Books project developed by the Museum of Osteopathic Medicine, A.T. Still University, and launched in 2007. This resource includes several 1000 pages of osteopathic journals and books, ranging from the American Osteopathic Historical Society Bulletin to the Western Osteopath.  It also includes books from some of the great osteopaths of their time, such as Still, Littlejohn, Feidler, Hazzard, with many more to come.
Journals are only searchable by individual months. Due to font changes in the journals, word searches are limited. In addition, some years the journals were not printed, while other issues have been lost to time.
PubMed Proximity Searching Tool

PubMed Proximity Search is now available. The National Library of Medicine announced proximity search capabilities have been added to PubMed. Now, users can search for multiple terms appearing in any order within a specified distance of one another in the [Title] or [Title/Abstract] fields.

Sage Sayings of Dr. Andrew Taylor Still

"Osteopathy is a science that analyzes man and finds that he partakes of Divine intelligence. It acquaints itself with all His attributes."

"Osteopathy to me is a very sacred science. It is sacred because it is a healing power through all Nature."

Truhlar, Robert E. Doctor A.T. Still in the Living. Chagrin Falls, Ohio, 1950. p. 137, 139.

Book Spotlight

Solounias, Nikos. Anatomy and Evolution of the Giraffe: Parts Unknown. Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2022.

This book is the first to examine in detail the anatomy and evolution of the giraffe, showing that there were species of giraffe, extinct now, in North Africa and suggesting that okapis lived there as well. It explores skeletal differences in these species, and considers the anatomy of their necks, limbs, tongues and eyes. In addition, the book addresses features of locomotion in these species, and describes the evolution of the giraffe in comparison to other Giraffidae. It is highly recommended reading.
