In the Fall of 1922, residents of the community in Arlington procured materials and volunteered their labor to erect a wooden building 24 x 48 feet at a cost of about $1,200. On December 24th, the Sunday School now numbering sixty members, met for the first time in the church chapel and became part of the Methodist Protestant Church.
