Legislator for a Day



The Institute of Politics & Elsie Hillman Civic Forum is offering an exciting opportunity this semester, Legislator for a Day! On February 28, The IOP will be taking a group of students to Harrisburg to “shadow” a member of the state legislature to learn about the governmental process and what it’s like to work as an elected official. Participants will be departing the day before, February 27, in the evening and staying overnight so that the entire day is available for shadowing. The IOP will pay for travel and the hotel stay. Applications end Monday, January 30.

Panther Leadership Academy

The Panther Leadership Academy is a 20-week leadership development program that helps students discover and develop their personal capacity to lead effectively and inclusively. Sessions begin January 23, click here for full information!

The Pitt News 2023 wall calendar is officially available for purchase! Get yours today for a $10 donation to The Pitt News! Stop in to purchase Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in 434 William Pitt Union.

New Student Ambassadors

Do you want to help new students find their place at Pitt? Join New Student Programs as a New Student Ambassador (NSA) to help welcome, guide, and support students through their first year on campus. NSAs support new students on campus through their involvement with summer events like Panther Connect, Welcome Week, and events planned and hosted throughout the academic year! Intramural Registration

Spring intramural registration is open! Spring sports include basketball, soccer, flag football, volleyball, dodgeball, bracket challenge, Esports, Capture the Flag, Sports Trivia, and Roundnet. For more information, click here.

Group Fitness Classes

Group fitness classes are a great FREE way for students to workout in a group setting! Classes begin January 30 and run through April 14. You must register at least two days before each class. Check out the full schedule of classes and register here.
