The Winston School has posted a new COVID-19 protocols document available here and on our website. This document is based on the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) COVID-19 Public Health Guidance for K-12 Schools to Support Safe In-Person Learning, 2022-2023 School Year and the relevant school guidance from the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE). Because COVID-19 conditions can shift rapidly, the plan is subject to change based on recommendations or regulations made by CDPH, SDCOE, and the Centers for Disease Control. The Winston School will remain nimble and responsive to dynamic challenges.

During the recent mediation, the City of Del Mar and the Winston School mutually agreed to postpone the upcoming trial to give both parties time to meet in good faith and determine if a mutually agreed upon a path forward can be reached. The Winston School will remain on site until at least July 1, 2024, while representatives from both sides work towards a long-term solution. The City and Winston will agree jointly to provide updates when appropriate.
