St Simon Parish Auction 2023
We invite EVERYONE to the Auction Viewing over the weekend in Spooncer Hall (you don't need an auction ticket to bid) . Silent auction items and raffle prizes will be on display. Only a selection of “super silent” items and raffle packages will be on display at Villa Ragusa so this weekend gives you a chance to view the silent auction items and wonderful raffle packages in person. 

Viewing times:

  • Saturday, February 4, 3-5pm
  • Sunday, February 5, after all morning Masses with coffee and donuts.

GRIEF SUPPORT

Grief Support Meeting
February 9, 7pm, Holy Family Room
This faith-based support group brings together members of the parish community who are experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one.  All benefit from support and companionship from others who have experienced similar experiences. More information here

HOPE & WELLNESS MINISTRY EVENTS

How a Church Can Become a Sanctuary - 8 week Session. 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month from February to May 2023. A place where individuals living with mental health challenges can feel safe, supported, and have a sense of belonging.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK & LOURDES PRAYER PETITIONS

The Diocese of San Jose World Day of the Sick, sponsored by the Order of Malta
Saturday, February 11, 2023, 1:00pm.
St. Christopher Church, 1576 Curtner Ave, San Jose
The Mass celebrated by Bishop Oscar Cantu will include Anointing of the Sick, Blessing for Caregivers, receiving of Lourdes water and more. You will have an opportunity to submit prayer petitions for Malta members to hand carry to Lourdes in May. All are welcome. Submit online a prayer to be carried to Lourdes click here.

FR. MURRAY TOURNAMENT

Congratulations to the Saint Simon girls travel team for their championship win at the Fr. Murray Tournament last weekend. Congratulations also to the Saint Simon boys travel team for earning a 3rd place finish in the tournament. It was great to have our alum and cheerleaders back on the court too. Thank you to all who came out to support the event. We look forward to seeing you next year!

CFF NEWS
Please pray for our children who are making the Sacrament of Reconciliation this weekend. May they be blessed and filled with grace. Thank you to the teachers, volunteers and families for helping prepare the children for this special day.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
Catholic Schools Week was celebrated all week at Saint Simon Parish School.  We enjoyed theme days, we loved having our grandparents, relatives and special friends visit on Generations Day, we did service with our school families, and finished the week with student appreciation day.
