Let's start by welcoming our new members and partners. Fantastic! You'll see the diversity of our new members ranges from insurtech online platforms to broking, claims and underwriting solutions - not to mention the two major insurers that have joined our ranks. 2023 has really kicked off! Cover Genius has announced a new partnership, BizCover has launched a new video and article series, Stella has launched their new Pet Insurance product, and handdii's CEO Christie Downs features in the latest 'Leadership in Insurance' podcast. BizCover for Brokers' new series about the Future of Broking has just been released. They talk to leading Australian brokers in the SME insurance space about the industry’s current state and what the future holds for broking.
From the influence of digital technologies like automation to dealing with natural disasters, this video and article series covers many of the topical issues that influence the insurance industry.

Global Risks Report 2023
The World Economic Forum, in partnership with Marsh McLennan and Zurich Insurance Group, has just released The Global Risks Report 2023. This is the 18th edition of the report, which identifies the most severe perceived risks to economies and societies over the next two years and next decade. This year the ‘cost-of-living crisis’ has been named the top global risk for the next two years, while climate action failure dominates the next decade.

New Insurtech Insider Membership launched!
We are pleased to launch a new individual membership category - Insurtech Insider. This is suited to those individuals that are passionate about fostering insurance innovation and insurtechs in Australia.
For example, those that are in the early stages of setting up an insurtech but have not yet established their own business, or those moving from corporate insurer roles. This is also suitable for individuals who are experienced insurance professionals operating on an independent basis, or for those working for a company that is not a Corporate Insurtech Australia partner.

This year's conference theme is 'Collaboration'. In their words:

This is an in-person lunch event, where students will hear from industry leaders and sit at a table with executives who are looking for students with their degree skillset and their hiring requirements.
This all-expenses paid opportunity is a chance to meet future employers in the insurance industry and will allow participants to learn more about the sector in a formal setting alongside other students. It is kind of like a networking event, but way better. There’s nothing like this where students are paired with an organisation looking for their specific skills.
