Help pay off negative meal balances – consider donating to the Angel Fund
Earlier this year, the federal government discontinued the funding source for breakfast and lunch. This shift, which was in place for two years, creating a financial burden on our families. We never take food away from students. We're asking for help from our community to help raise funds to pay off students' negative meal balances.

Parents and community members can donate to the angel fund through the district's Revtrak webstore or Skyward.

Literacy is power: SANB team attends conversation on the science and teaching of reading 🧠 📚
SANB administrators recently attended an in-person discussion that dove deep into the science of reading and the history of how we got to the place we are today for teaching reading. The group came away with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement about the literacy work that is already being done at SANB.

Jaimee Stanley, district literacy coordinator, has created a system of instruction and assessment to align with the science of reading. Soon, there will be a literacy cohort that continue their professional development around improving instructional practices.

Stay tuned for an upcoming podcast on this topic! 🎙️

We are so proud that our students truly want a transformational learning experience not only for themselves, but for their peers. The value they bring to our schools is what makes us ever brighter.
