National School Counseling Week
Jane Zimmerman is the 9th grade counselor. This is her 4th year at SMHS and her first year with the class of 2026! Her favorite thing about counseling is that every group of student is different and they ALWAYS make her laugh even on the hardest days. Ms. Z is a Cat person, loves plants and flowers, and eats a lot of chocolate. For the rest of the year, Ms. Zimmerman will be focusing on helping her students prepare for higher level classes and setting their goals and plans for life after high school.

Attention all seniors, the financial aid deadline is less than a month away! You must complete your FAFSA or California Dream Act by March 2
nd in order to qualify for the full amount of aid for paying for college. Completing a financial aid application is also a graduation requirement. Stop by the Career Center is you have questions about how to complete your financial aid application or if you need help in getting started.

Roses will be distributed in 3rd period on Tuesday, Feb 14th.
Annual Crabfeed Fundraiser
TICKETS ARE ON SALE UNTIL FEBRUARY 21ST!
Join us on Saturday, February 25th from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm for a fun evening of dinner, community, dancing, and raffle in support of the San Mateo High School Athletic programs. Dinner includes bread, soup, salad, pasta, all-you-can-eat crab and dessert. Additionally, we will have a no-host bar (drink tickets will be sold), DJ, photo booth and fantastic raffle with items that everyone will be fighting over! Fun for all. This is a 21+ event.
