As part of the registration renewal process each year, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are required to also renew any extended practice certifications that they wish to continue.
The College is aware that the renewal option for the extended practice certifications did not open in the registrant portal, which is prompting pharmacists and technicians to submit new applications under the "Authorizations" tab on the portal homepage. The "add new" option is for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to add a new extended practice certification that they do not already have and comes with a $50 initial application fee instead of the $25 renewal fee.
The College kindly request that pharmacists and pharmacy technician wait until we have the error in the portal corrected before attempting to renew extended practice certifications. Once the issue has been corrected, the College will send another communication.
