Dr. Don Capone Spring 2023 Hours and Services
  • We are delighted to announce that Dr. Don Capone, UC Berkeley licensed staff psychologist, has resumed his office hours for the Spring Semester. Don can help you make progress with any number of issues you may be struggling with at this time or anytime during your Haas experience. 
  • Please be refer to email titled "PLEASE NOTE: Mental health and wellness resources available" for more information how to schedule an appointment with Don, and other resources at UC Berkeley.
Registration Timeline Updated 
Underhill Lot Advisory: Cal Men's Basketball Games 
Feb 9, 11, 23
  • If you normally park in Underhill, N/W Permits will only be valid on Underhill Levels 3 & 4 on game days. Games are in the evening (6 or 7PM) on these dates: Feb 9, 11, 23.
  • The area immediately around Haas is not affected, please expect traffic along Bancroft Ave to Downtown on game days.
  • Full game day parking rules here.
X-Force Summer 2023 Fellowship 
Application Closes Friday Feb 10, 11:59PM EST
  • The X-Force Fellowship Program is an opportunity for technologists and entrepreneurs to serve their country by solving real-world national security problems.
    • The program is open to students pursuing fields ranging from mobile and web app development, data analysis and visualization, hardware prototyping, social media strategy, policy research, and technology scouting.
  • Apply to the X-Force Fellowship via form on the NSIN website. Letters of Recommendations can be turned in late.

Summer Electives Heads Up
  • Class of 2025 students are eligible to take certain Summer elective courses.
  • Pay special attention to the course pre-reqs as noted in the course description, e.g. Intro to Finance is the pre-req for New Venture Finance.
  • If you are considering taking Summer electives, check the Registration Timeline for important sign-up dates.
  • Save the Date for First Year Small Group Advising Sessions on:
    • Blue: Monday Feb 27
    • Gold: Tuesday Feb 28
    • Axe/Oski: Saturday Mar 4
    • Lux: Wednesday March 1 and Friday March 3

BearPALs Program: Family Balance Survey 
  • Complete the BearPALs Program: Family Balance Survey to share your thoughts on how you balance school with personal life (e.g., partner, kids). We’ll aggregate the responses and share with everyone in an upcoming Slack post to #all-ewmba!

A DREAM Deferred, Never to Come, or Misbegotten?: Assessing the DREAMer Paradigm in 2023
Friday Feb 3, 1-6PM PT, Warren Room, Berkeley Law School
  • The Berkeley Law Raza Law Journal is proud to host: “A DREAM Deferred, Never to Come, or Misbegotten?: Assessing the DREAMer Paradigm in 2023.” 
  • This inaugural symposium is free and open to all members of the community. If possible, we would love your attendance or ability to disseminate the flyer to your membership!
  • The half-day symposium program will consist of two consecutive panels of racially diverse scholars from law schools, as well as university departments of sociology, Latinx studies, leadership studies, and education.

  • In this workshop, we will be going over the report for your Values In Action assessment ("VIA"). We are providing free of charge for you. Make sure to use your @berkeley email to register.
  • Knowing your VIA character strengths can help you find values-based language to include in your stories. Click here for examples of VIA Stories
  • Research reveals that people who recognize and use their top strengths every day are:
    • 3x more likely to report having an excellent quality of life

  • Learn how to have skillful career conversations builds and deepens relationships, gives you insights, and allows for opportunities. Whether it be informational interviews, connecting with people, or coffee chats, these are all career conversations. This learning lab will give you a simple framework that helps you be more intentional, less transactional, and allow you to connect, get curious and be understood.

  • This is the first workshop of a three part storytelling workshop. In the workshop, we will identify elements that make a great intro story that helps others engage you in a conversation.
