• We are delighted to announce that Dr. Don Capone, UC Berkeley licensed staff psychologist, has resumed his office hours for the Spring Semester. Don can help you make progress with any number of issues you may be struggling with at this time or anytime during your Haas experience. 
• Please be refer to email titled "PLEASE NOTE: Mental health and wellness resources available" for more information how to schedule an appointment with Don, and other resources at UC Berkeley.

• The Elective Registration Timeline for Summer 2023 and Fall 2023 has been updated.
• Please review the timeline carefully and mark the dates on your calendar so you don't miss any opportunities to enroll in the electives you want.
• The goal is to have both Summer and Fall schedules available for review before Summer and Fall Bidding.
  • Students will know their Summer elective enrollment before Fall bidding begins.
  • The Summer Add/Drop and Drop Only Rounds in April will allow students to adjust Summer enrollments based on Fall Bidding results.

• If you normally park in Underhill, N/W Permits will only be valid on Underhill Levels 3 & 4 on game days. Games are in the evening (6 or 7PM) on these dates: Feb 9, 11, 23.
• The area immediately around Haas is not affected, please expect traffic along Bancroft Ave to Downtown on game days.
• Full game day parking rules here.

• The X-Force Fellowship Program is an opportunity for technologists and entrepreneurs to serve their country by solving real-world national security problems.
  • The program is open to students pursuing fields ranging from mobile and web app development, data analysis and visualization, hardware prototyping, social media strategy, policy research, and technology scouting.
• Apply to the X-Force Fellowship via form on the NSIN website. Letters of Recommendations can be turned in late.

Class of 2023 

• For students graduating in May or Aug 2023, now that Add/Drop is over, please review EWMBA graduation requirements and our EMWBA graduation checklist.
• If you are short units to graduate in May or Aug 2023, please complete the Graduation Date Modification Form by Friday Feb 24 to participate in Summer and/or Fall bidding.
• EWMBA students do not need to submit an intent to graduate. The Program Office will check the graduation requirements for students in June (for May degree conferrals) and in September (for August degree conferrals).
• If you intend to complete the requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics, submit the CBA Completion Form by Apr 15 (for May degree conferrals) or Jun 15 (for August degree conferrals).

Class of 2025

• Class of 2025 students are eligible to take certain Summer elective courses.
• Pay special attention to the course pre-reqs as noted in the course description, e.g. Intro to Finance is the pre-req for New Venture Finance.
• If you are considering taking Summer electives, check the Registration Timeline for important sign-up dates.
• Save the Date for First Year Small Group Advising Sessions on:
  • Blue: Monday Feb 27
  • Gold: Tuesday Feb 28
  • Axe/Oski: Saturday Mar 4
  • Lux: Wednesday March 1 and Friday March 3

• The Berkeley Law Raza Law Journal is proud to host: “A DREAM Deferred, Never to Come, or Misbegotten?: Assessing the DREAMer Paradigm in 2023.” 
• This inaugural symposium is free and open to all members of the community. If possible, we would love your attendance or ability to disseminate the flyer to your membership!
• The half-day symposium program will consist of two consecutive panels of racially diverse scholars from law schools, as well as university departments of sociology, Latinx studies, leadership studies, and education. 
• RSVP to the A DREAM Deferred Symposium.

Career Corner

• In this workshop, we will be going over the report for your Values In Action assessment ("VIA"). We are providing free of charge for you. Make sure to use your @berkeley email to register.
• Knowing your VIA character strengths can help you find values-based language to include in your stories. Click here for examples of VIA Stories. 
• Research reveals that people who recognize and use their top strengths every day are:
  • 3x more likely to report having an excellent quality of life
  • 6x more likely to be engaged at work

• Learn how to have skillful career conversations builds and deepens relationships, gives you insights, and allows for opportunities. Whether it be informational interviews, connecting with people, or coffee chats, these are all career conversations. This learning lab will give you a simple framework that helps you be more intentional, less transactional, and allow you to connect, get curious and be understood. 

• This is the first workshop of a three part storytelling workshop. In the workshop, we will identify elements that make a great intro story that helps others engage you in a conversation.
