We are delighted to invite you to an event honoring OurBrainBank, a non-profit created by an amazing woman, my wife Jessica Morris (1963 – 2021). Please save the date (March 18, 2023) for an evening event in California to raise money for glioblastoma research, support, and advocacy. 

Jessica founded OurBrainBank after her diagnosis in 2016. Glioblastoma is the most aggressive of all brain tumors. Jessica’s dream, conceived in the early days of her illness, was to move glioblastoma from terminal to treatable, powered by patients. Her book: All In My Head: A Memoir of Life, Love, and Patient Power (Little, Brown) will be released in the US later this year. 

Tickets are $2,017, honoring the year Jessica founded OurBrainBank.

The event will be held in Altadena, California, hosted by Renata and Talmadge O’Neill at their spectacular home. Live music, wine, hors d’oeuvres, and gift bags (with Jessica’s book) will be provided. Renata’s Pottery Studio will be open, with a percentage of sales generously going to OurBrainBank.

At the event, you will hear from Jessica’s family as well as doctors on the front lines confronting this terrible disease. Please honor us by marking this on your calendar or, if you can’t attend, consider a gift.  

Funds raised will support a groundbreaking pilot study we’re developing with world-class neuro-oncologists and data scientists at Harvard. The study will gather data to help doctors and researchers — as well as patients and caregivers — better understand the challenges of living with a brain tumor. So much is unknown about this disease, and more research is urgently needed.
