There are many different types of dementia. Unfortunately, there aren’t any known cures. There are however certain things in our control that professionals believe can help slow the progression. There are also things that we can avoid to help stave off the impact of dementia.

GPNY professionals will be on the dais to discuss external factors impacting dementia. We will be hearing from Dr. Emma Durazzo of Anywhere Audiology as well as neurologist Dr. Mariel Deutsch. Also joining us will be Kate Schneider CTRS CDP CADDCT, Reflections Programming Specialist from the Bristal.

As always, this will be an interactive and dynamic presentation sure to give you insights on how we can help ourselves, family and those clients that rely upon us. We are so lucky to have such esteemed colleagues in our group that are able to share their knowledge and expertise. Feel free to join the conversation at our February meeting and by all means, let me know of your next panel idea.

Its that time of the year when we are looking to start our new season and our dues are due and can be paid in a couple of ways.

Keep in mind that we hope to be able to have a couple of in-person parties once we get back to normal and those parties are free to the members.
