Sunday was such a joyful day. Have you thought about how great it was to happily send away a pastor whom we love? I took such delight in seeing your outpouring of love to Steve and Kathy and the kids. It was like a tiny glimpse into how the Lord has used them in the nearly eight years of their membership here. Praise the Lord.
And we had a lovely Members’ Meeting on Sunday night. We are excited to be adding two new staff in the coming months. More about them later. But, the great part of being a member is being a part of things. Few sights bring me as much joy as looking out on that assembly of the firstborn!
We are delighted to have Jim Clemens coming to preach on Sunday. I met Jim many moons ago and have been so thankful for his faithful ministry over the last twenty+ years. He is a good egg, and if you doubt me, just look at Sam! He’s a fairly decent member of our church, and that apple fell from that tree. Yep, Jim is Sam’s dad. Which means I first met Sam when he was a little rascal of a kid. That is all I shall say about that.
Our Weekender filled up this week. Well, over-filled. :-) But, it is hard to say no to churches that are discovering the importance of polity. We will have over 60 pastors and elders joining us March 24-26. Please pray for them. And sign up here if you can host a few for lunch that Sunday!
This is a fairly packed week for me, Pat and Allie. We are all working on taking over the stuff Steve was doing, until our new hires start. So, we appreciate your patience and kindness toward us in this little busy season.

Mark your calendars! February 26 is a "Meet a Member" Lunch... what does this mean? You sign up as a Host or Guest, and we'll assign you a group of people to share a meal with! This is a great way to get to know people you might not otherwise meet.
