Join us at La Veta Public Library as we present the beautifully written film "The Banshees of Inisherin". The movie is directed by Martin McDonagh with moving performances by Colin Farrell and Brendon Gleeson as friends wrestling with loneliness, mortality and personal conflicts in a darkly humorous manner. You won't want to miss unique and highly acclaimed film that recently won the Golden Globe Best Picture Award! As always, free with refreshments provided.
Give your little ones the best start with “The Basics” (Free lunch, too!)
Five workshops meeting one Wednesday per month for parents and caregivers of young children on The Basics, science-based tenets that support social, emotional, and cognitive development of children from birth to age three. We are scheduled to meet on the Wednesdays listed below and appreciate those that are able to RSVP for any or all of the sessions. This will allow us to have enough materials brought over. We are also providing lunch for each session. Please know that an RSVP is NOT REQUIRED just appreciated.

Friday, February 10 at 1:00 pm Join Randi Samuelson-Brown, noted author of "Market Street Madame" and Sandy Dolak for a fascinating peek into the world of brothels, bordellas, redlight districts and the "Sailed Doves" who worked them! Free with refreshments.
