Due to the event space’s small size, there is a limit of 12 employers on each day. A third day may be added if there is enough interest. Sign up your business for the job fair (sign-ups are first-come, first-served). Melissa Duffy, Job Fair Coordinator, will send out a confirmation email with more details to participants.

Ice and Snow Removal in the Business Districts

It is the Village's goal to keep our streets and walkways safe and passable. Accordingly, the Public Works Department uses special equipment to remove snow from the sidewalks that requires a seven-foot clearance above the sidewalk to operate: to effectively clear snow, all awnings must be retracted, and temporary planters, tables, chairs, and other fixtures must be removed from sidewalks. The Village is not liable for any damage to personal property incurred during snow removal operations.

Please watch for ice buildup on sidewalks:  it is each merchant's responsibility to clear the walkway in front of the business after the Village has finished sidewalk snow removal operations.

Previously, we encouraged businesses to use salt to remove ice buildup on the sidewalk. That information has since changed. The Village now encourages merchants to use an environmentally friendly alternative de-icer that does not contain salt (sodium chloride). The Village is working to reduce the chloride in stormwater, and we appreciate your assistance in helping us do so.

Contact the Public Works Department with questions at 847-716-3568.
