PRE-BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONER MEETING UPDATE
FEBRUARY 2nd 2023 MEETING
The main agenda items to be discussed at the February 2nd Board of County Commissioners’ meeting are the following:
*** The Bureau of Land Management ("BLM") will present its quarterly update to the BOCC concerning BLM activity in Douglas County.
***The BOCC will present Karis Drake with an employee service award for 25 years of service to Douglas County.
***The BOCC will decide whether or not to accept the pipeline and public right-of-way easements for the segment of Vista Grande Blvd. which connects Jacks Valley Road to the existing, paved portion of Vista Grande Blvd.
***The BOCC will decide whether or not to transfer $1,000,000 to the Economic
Stabilization Fund (County Rainy Day Fund) and $3,564,535 to the Extraordinary Maintenance Fund from the General Fund.
***The BOCC will complete its review and update of its Norms and Procedures, and direct staff to bring forward a resolution incorporating the requested changes.
***The BOCC will appoint a County Commissioner to the Carson Water Subconservancy District to fill a vacancy due to the resignation of John Engels.
***Discussion by staff regarding legislative issues proposed by legislators or other entities concerning bill draft requests that may impact Douglas County.
