If you haven't registered already, this is your last chance to be part of the Bushwalking Victoria Clubs Forum on Saturday. We will provide an update to clubs on recent activities and seek your valuable input into the recently developed Walk Leaders Online Training Modules and the future of BWV.
Club committee members are invited to this networking activity and up to three representatives per club are encouraged to attend.
The program will include the following:
Online Leader Training Modules
Lyn Atkinson (Boroondara) has been leading the team that has developed the online Beginner Bushwalking modules now available on the BWV website. The second phase of the project is the development of Online Walk Leader Training modules and Lyn will present some of the completed modules and seek input on the content that has been developed to date and advise how the clubs will be able to utilise this new resource.
Club Development
We would like to hear from you regarding:
- The resources that are currently available to clubs - which ones do you use, which ones need updating or developing, can you access them easily?
- The general health of your clubs - can BWV assist those who may be struggling? Clubs are encouraged to share problems and solutions.
- What you are doing well - a sharing of information from clubs.
How do you assess the 'health' of your club? Is it:
- Member numbers - do you wish to grow or are you happy with where you are?
- Number of Activities and Attendance
- Participation - is it a challenge to form a committee?
Other Issues / Open Forum
We will discuss other issues such as:
- the insurance renewal process
- dealing with ageing/slower walkers
and have time for a general discussion on any other relevant concerns.

BWV Strategy Discussion
President Mike Grant will lead the discussion on the future of BWV. Are we heading in the right direction, how do we build clubs for the future? What does the future of the BWV Board look like?
Many (younger?) bushwalkers are choosing to join Meetup Groups rather than clubs - can we improve the way we operate our clubs to make it easier to engage.

Attendance in person is preferred but if this is not possible a second forum will be scheduled on Zoom in the near future for those unable to attend face-to-face. If you are interested, please email us via this LINK to advise.
