SACC Committee meetings


Classes are back in full swing, it's lovely to welcome back the regulars and meet the new faces too.
The Committee of Management have their first meeting on Tuesday 7th at Wadambuk at 7pm. The meetings are always open to anyone in the community. There is no obligation to join, just come along if you'd like to know more about how the centre operates. The committee welcome ideas from the community anytime.

Nillumbik are looking for young people to join the Nillumbik Youth Council!


Nillumbik Shire Council are looking for young people aged 15-25, who are you passionate about their community and wanting to represent the views, ideas and needs of young people in Nillumbik.
The Nillumbik Youth Council will:
·       Develop local initiatives and projects for young people
·       Act as a peak advisory group to Council, advocating for opportunities,
        barriers and issues impacting  on young people in Nillumbik
·       Provide advice to Council about how these issues can be addressed

All applications are welcomed.

Young people who are Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander, other First Nations, living in rural Nillumbik, LGBTIQA+, gender diverse, people with a disability, chronic illness and/or mental illness, carers, people experiencing or have experience financial insecurity and culturally and linguistically diverse young people are encouraged to apply. If you have any specific requirements to participate, please contact us directly.

A dedicated position within the Committee will be reserved for a First Nations young person. 

Youth Council members must be aged 15-25 years of age and live, work, study, volunteer or play in Nillumbik and be available from 4-6pm on the first Monday of every month to meet in person at Council Offices in Greensborough.
