Start those summer plans off right with an incredible trip to Alaska on Sailboat BOB.
As the new year settles in, our calendar is getting full.
We have a few amazing trips still open in early summer, and are looking for folks to fill out a couple of Glacier Bay sailing adventures.
The crew has been travelling a bit for fun this winter. A recent trip to Haines and Whitehorse allowed us to dust off the skis and snowshoes.
Sitka gets a lot of rain in the winter and we have to admit we are winter people. The Yukon Territory called us to explore a bit this Fall, and we came back for the snow. The town of Whitehorse (pop. a surprising 25,000) has really embraced the snow and cold. Their crosscountry ski trails are world-class and allow all kinds of active adventures. Multiple warming huts along the trails were really a treat, especially on the weekend with free snacks and hot cocoa!
"Otis", our named and adopted humpback whale, seems to be enjoying his/her time off as well. We can plot the big vacation to Hawaii on: https://happywhale.com
Winter allows us to experiment with new dishes in the galley, and we must say our Southeast Alaskan version of Pasta Fazool with smoked salmon just might make it onto the menu this summer. Remind anyone of a song???
We laughed at this sign in a recent restaurant visit.
It was wonderful catching up with our very active friends (and their doggies) in Haines.
Another addition to the BOB this summer is talent! Monique has diligently practiced her new uke and promises to have a few songs to serenade us with in the islands of Alaska.
