🎶 Listen as your day unfolds
Challenge what the future holds
Try and keep your head up to the sky
Lovers, they may cause you tears
Go ahead, release your fears
Stand up and be counted
Don't be ashamed to cry

Celebrating Bolder Joce

When I started Bolder Joce, I just wanted to write. Since I can remember, writing’s been a strength. It's something that landed me a undergraduate journalism scholarship, energized my teaching and publishing pursuits.

There were many reasons I could’ve gone another direction including fear. I chose to move forward anyway; vulnerable and all.

14 blog posts later and I know I made something beautiful. I celebrated by walking with a friend, cooking yummy pancakes with warm cinnamon apples, going to bed early. I celebrated with friends and family.

This year, the stories continue. I’ll talk more about motherhood, coparenting, and growth. Wellness is really important to how I stay grounded, so expect more on my practice.

Recently, I was featured on the YWCA Minneapolis blog about an awareness campaign I’m managing. Check out the article including the TV spot partially filmed at the downtown Minneapolis location.
