Hello Everyone,

Tomorrow we will be opening up our trails!  All of the groomers have been out this week removing trees and fixing washouts and the report back is positive.  The cold weather has made a huge difference.  You will still run into the occasional washout where you will have to pick your way through the rocks but its short-lived.  The groomers were able to pull snow over most of the bad sections so its really not that bad.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised how nice the trails are.  The trail connecting us to the Northern Warren trail system will be groomed and open.  The Northern Warren club has indicated that they have groomed their end of the connecting trail.  Its worth noting that the trail through the 4th Lake Campground has been half plowed.  So that trail will only be groomed 8 feet wide, so watch out for that.  The trail to the SSA will remained closed until further notice.  The trail from the West Mtn Parking Lot has been groomed but it has some rocky sections as usual.  So you may want to park at the LG groomer barn on Transfer Rd in LG.  Prospect Mtn has been freshly groomed and is incredible right now.  You should also have access to Stewarts in Luzerne and LG, the Holiday Inn (food too), Hampton Inn, Best Western, Comfort Inn and the Garrison, East Cove, and Longhorn restaurants.  The bike path will remain closed.

Our next monthly meeting will be held at the Longhorn Restaurant in Lake Vanare on Monday the 6th of February at 7pm.  You can get there by snowmobile so come early and grab some food before the meeting.

PSA - we are actively seeking some folks to take over our secretary and treasurer position for our club.  If you would like to join our team please respond to this email or come to our next meeting.

By the way, if you see any jeeps riding our trails in Buttermilk (our biggest problem on trail S42) please try to get some pictures of their license plate and vehicle.

Get out and ride this weekend!  We have some warm weather coming next week so you never know when the trails will be closed again.
Thanks,

SWSC
