From Dr. Wente: Strategically addressing space needs for our third century

Because of Wake Forest’s deep affinity for our shared sense of place and the significant academic and student space needs on the Reynolda Campus, I see academic space renewal as one of my highest priorities as President. Read more about our next steps.

Last day to drop with a grade of “W” in first part-of-term courses, Feb. 8 (undergraduates)

The last day for undergraduates to drop with a grade of "W" in first part-of-term courses is Wednesday, Feb. 8. Undergraduate students can view the academic services calendar for other key dates. Graduate and professional school students can see their academic calendars here or on their respective program/school websites.

Family Weekend and Homecoming weekend announced

  • Family Weekend will be held Sept. 22-24. The Wake Forest football team will face Georgia Tech at Truist Field on Saturday, Sept. 23. Kickoff time will be announced 10 days before the game. Additional details about the weekend's schedule and registration will be available in late spring or early summer. Encourage your family to mark their calendars now and to make hotel reservations if needed.
  • Homecoming will be held Oct. 20-22. More information will be available this summer.

University Theatre: “The Three Sisters” opens Feb. 3

Who among us has never felt the longing for the unattainable, the desire for that which we will not have? “The Three Sisters,” one of Anton Chekhov’s most celebrated plays, illustrates his brilliance at portraying human beings as they really are. Intricately woven relationships, fiery passions, and dreams of a different future shape the lives of three women living on the cusp of the fall of Russian aristocracy. The University Theatre production is directed by Sharon Andrews and is showing at the Mainstage Theatre Feb. 3-4 & 9-11 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 5 & 12 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.

Join us for Wake Frost, Feb. 4

Join Student Engagement and Transportation and Parking Services for our Winter Wonderland event with ice skating, inflatables, interactive games, giveaways, music, food and more. Wake Frost will be held on upper Davis Field on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

Founders Day to be held Feb. 16

Each year, the University marks its founding in February 1834 by coming together to celebrate and reflect on its traditions, its history and its people. Founders Day is also a moment to affirm the University’s motto, Pro Humanitate. Founders Day will be on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 4 p.m. in Wait Chapel and will feature the annual senior orations, musical performances and a commemorative reading of excerpts from a speech made by Provost Emeritus Ed Wilson (’43) on Founders Day, 1992.
