Mission Spotlight: Epiphany Blankets

Our congregation collected 78 blankets for the Epiphany Sunday drive (known as Warm Blankets for Cold Babies). Thanks to everyone who donated and to Mary Ann Buseck and Midge Harder for keeping this long standing tradition alive. The blankets were split between the Salvation Army’s Back Country Outreach and the Southern Indian Health Council’s social services program. More thank yous to Norm Howland, Malcolm and Caroline Graham, and Carol Olewine for helping to get the blankets ready for delivery and big thanks to Midge Harder and Susan James for making the actual deliveries.

Additionally, Lani Taylor's company, Countywide Mechanical Systems, donated an additional 120 blankets! Those were split between Gente Unida for migrants on the border, and half to be shared with low-income and unhoused neighbors in Lemon Grove.

Children's Volunteers Needed!
We are in great need of volunteers to help with our children in Nursery or in Sunday School. If you are interested in spending more time helping our youngest members to grow, please contact Children's Ministry Director Kaydence Ketterer for next steps.

Host Coffee Chat:
We are looking for groups of folks or church committees to provide coffee and treats after service on the 2nd, 3rd, and occasional 5th Sunday. This is a great chance for fellowship and to talk about the work your committee is doing. Contact Office Manager Carol Olewine for more information.

Maintenance Issues on Campus?
Our Trustees diligently see to the maintenance of our campus, but of course, are not here all the time. To help get issues addressed more promptly, we invite you to fill out an online Repair Request if you see something in need on the church campus. Responses are sent to the Trustees, Pastor, and church office so the appropriate folks can get it handled in a timely manner. Thank you for your care about our beloved church!
