Dear Friends...

I've been thinking about my talk for this Sunday and I have been surprised at how helpful the workshop Rev. Maurene led on Change, Loss & Sorrow has been as I work out what to say... The workshop was simple, yet thought-provoking.  If you missed it - don't worry - there are four more to go!  It's a great opportunity to spend a little more time together and get to know each other while we are learning more about "This Thing Called Life" - as Ernest Holmes put it.

Last week someone asked why I didn't put all of the information about the Flower Arranging Workshop in this email, the answer is that this email will be available to everyone on the Internet for a long time, so I don't want to post people's addresses, or phone numbers without their permission.  So if you ever want more information about anything that's going on, don't hesitate to reach out with questions any time...

WORKSHOP THIS SUNDAY:
Rev. Maurene is leading a series of workshops after Fellowship on Sundays starting called "Metaphysical Tools for Living."  

Everyone is welcome, just bring a pen, and a snack of your choice.  If you miss one, don't worry - just come to the next one.

Using metaphysical tools will help us joyfully navigate life as we learn to remove blocks to the use of First Cause (the Mind of God) and accept greater health, prosperity, love, and creativity.

Believe In Divine Guidance:

The Koran tells us that God increases our guidance once we have guidance.  Jesus tells us that if we abide in Him, then His words will abide in us, and we shall ask for anything and it shall be done unto us.  When we can believe this as our truth and allow it to guide us in our everyday life, then we will be divinely guided as we believe in divine guidance.
Meditation Suggestion:

The Nature of Life by Dr. Edward W. Hagen, Divine Science leader, 

...Let us consider The Nature of Life...with emphasis on a growing awareness of the Truth, realizing first of all that there is a Source, a Cause for everything that is, on Original Creator.  This One, this Source creates of of Original Substance, and this One (God) is invisible, indescribable, yet obviously present.

God is...Self-existent Reality.  Out of formless Spirit-Being comes form; God creates and all creation is [God's] manifestation.

We may resemble our earthly family, but we do not come from our parents.  We come through them.  Aware of it or not, we come from God--thus Sonship is our inheritance.  We inherit what God is; we inherit perfection, the means of perfecting.  "God, our Father" refers not to a creature but to The Originator.  Omniscience and Omnipotence lie ever in us, waiting to be recognized and claimed.

The Spirit of God hath made me, and the bread of the Almighty hath given me life.  -- Job 33:4.
