News & Notes

Greetings UVCB,

Our upcoming rehearsal this Monday, February 6, will occur in the Richmond Middle School Auditorium instead of Hanover High School.  The school is located just north of Hanover at 63 Lyme Road, and here is a link to the school's Google Map location:
https://tinyurl.com/yjf6nj2h

We have arranged to use the auditorium for our dress rehearsal this Monday, February 6, starting as usual at 7:00 pm.  We have the space for a few minutes longer if we are able to stay and wish to rehearse a bit past 9:00.

Chairs and music stands are available in the auditorium.

Because the UVCB has missed a number of HHS rehearsals in the past month from school closures on holidays and the snow day, we also have been offered the use of the RMS Auditorium on Friday evening, February 10, for an extra rehearsal if we choose.  Please consider your calendars and we will plan a short discussion at Monday's rehearsal to assess interest and members' availability.

Thank you, and we look forward to Monday evening,
Mark

Concert Preparation

1.
On the Sunday of our concert, February 12, we will have access to the Richmond Middle School Auditorium at 1:00 pm.  On Sunday we ask that members be on stage and ready to play at 2:00 pm for our 3:00 pm show, allowing us a few minutes to run through any special parts.

2.  Concert attire will be all black with a splash of color as in our past performances.

3.  Please commit to attending our concert by visiting the UVCB’s sign-up page and indicate your plans at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NXwAqzO0V_XHklYu0kF8TkhXjKy0UzgsV56LbHyr9aM/edit#gid=0

4.  We plan to offer home baked goods individually wrapped and labelled, and apple cider with paper cups for drinks at intermission.  We are looking for a volunteer family member or two to manage the donation jar and refreshment table and we thank those folks in advance for their help.  Please let us know during our upcoming rehearsal if you plan to volunteer with refreshments and help so that we know what to expect on Sunday afternoon and are not overwhelmed with food.

5.  Here is a photo of our Concert poster.  Please duplicate it to post about town, and on social media pages.

Marilyn Hill will be stepping back from her role as our UVCB Webmaster this summer (if not before).  We ask anyone willing to help to contact Marilyn and volunteer to learn her role so that we have a seamless transition this summer and maintain a vibrant web presence.  <mghill3527@gmail.com>
