Last Sunday, we announced that Piper Ditzler is relocating to Alaska early in May. She has served the Northwest Church as Worship Pastor for four and a half years, also spending three of those years as one of our youth pastors. Her initial commitment to Northwest was for only three years. We’ve been blessed to have her extend that time well beyond the original agreement.
Piper will continue leading and serving in both roles through the end of April. Her departure will leave two significant ministry vacancies in our church community. However, we appreciate the early notification, which allows time to think, to pray, and to plan for the future. The NW Leadership Team will communicate with the congregation regarding next steps as Piper’s departure time approaches.
We will have a celebration recognizing Piper’s great leadership, service, and talents before she heads back to Alaska. We know God has great plans in store for her, as well as for the Northwest Church as we begin this next chapter.
A few weeks ago, Jillian Pippin read a poem she wrote titled "JESUS, LORD, AND SAVIOR" as part of her communion thought. Several have requested a copy of that poem. Below please find a link to the poem.
