A New Song in my Mouth: Lyrics for a WELL Life

This Sunday Pastor Chris is sharing an encouraging message about the importance of music in the Christ-followers life and Kelly from Life 97.3FM will be here sharing information about their Christian Radio Station (Rockwell Church is their church of the week).

Throughout the Bible we see a variety of people worshiping through song and we are instructed to sing hymns and spiritual songs. Psalm 40:2b-3 says, “he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.” We will look at some of the different types on songs in the Bible and see how choosing to listen to Christian music can help transform our minds and encourage us to be more faithful.

We are ready to expand. Students are currently studying the book of James. True faith produces fruit. A faith without action and without life change is ultimately a dead faith. The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who've faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God.
