Pleasantdale Park

Final Master Plan Meeting

Dear Community Members,

We are in the final stages of revising the design plan for Pleasantdale Park. In three recent meetings, we received substantial feedback and support from the local residents, who will be greatly impacted by the park's redesign.

On Thursday, February 23rd, I will be collaborating with the DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Affairs to host the final Master Plan Meeting for the project. The meeting will take place at Pleasantdale Elementary School at 6:30pm and will give attendees the opportunity to view the proposed design, interact with county staff and the engineers responsible for finalizing the plan, and have their feedback taken into serious consideration. It is worth mentioning that residents' feedback from previous meetings has already been integrated into the current design proposal.

In consideration of the fact that the meeting will be held on a school night, food, snacks, and beverages will be provided for those in attendance. I would like to invite you to join me on Thursday, February 23rd, starting at 6:30pm, to actively participate in shaping the future of our community park.

Important information regarding your Water Bill

Dear Customers,

DeKalb County will be switching from bimonthly to monthly water and sewer billing in your area. Over the past few years, DeKalb County has made significant investments in both\ our water meters and our Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology. This state-of-the-art technology enables DeKalb County to obtain your meter reading remotely, thereby eliminating the need for a physical visit to your property just to obtain a meter reading.

You should receive your first monthly billing statement beginning in January or February 2023.

Some benefits of monthly billing include:

• Receiving regular, monthly billing statements to assist with monthly budgeting.

• Access to more frequent and timely information about water usage, which is beneficial in two ways.

o Allows customers to adjust their water usage habits sooner in order to impact their next bill if they feel they are using too much water and

o Alerts customers sooner to potential issues or leaks in their private systems; and

• A more comparable usage record should customers have questions about their consumption.
