We are inviting EOIs from cyber related experts, whether from WA, Australia or international, to join us in delivering CyberWest Summit 2023 through providing presentations, demonstrations and workshops.

The CyberWest Summit is a cyber conference for non-cyber professionals. Everyone needs to understand cyber risk so we are building a program that provides clear and actionable cyber education to professionals ourside of the security sector.

We will have 3 conference streams running across the 2 days:
  1. Critical Infrastructure – targeting medium sized business, particularly within specified critical infrastructure supply chains.
  2. Secure Government – supporting cyber uplift across government
  3. Cyber Education & Pathways– upskilling educators, cyber professionals and students

If you have a presentation, workshop or other activity that can support this mission get in touch using this form.

ECU SRI & Industry Partnerships

ECU’s Security Research Institute (SRI) is looking to work closely with interested WA businesses and build long-term partnerships that create capability and have real-world impact on the security of their partners.

They are building capacity in the form of a highly skilled workforce that will improve the way organisations approach security. The SCI is seeking industry partners to engage in joined research projects undertaken by talented scholars studying for a PhD, that are embedded in industry and solve concrete, wicked security problems that affect your business today or in the future.

One of the funding pathways is through CSIRO’s iPhD program.

Lotterywest Fund: Innovative Society Initiative

The WA AustCYber Innovation Hub is happy to be part of the Innovative Society Initaitive, coordinated by Meshpoints and Spacecubed, and supported by Lotterywest.

The Innovative Society Initiative, exists to build a stronger culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in Western Australia – a “culture of innovation” that will help WA solve difficult and wicked problems and the impacts of disruption.

This needs investment in the skillsets, toolkits and mindsets of West Australians, not only to support individuals and ideas to thrive, but to build a more diverse, resilient community and economy. Building a stronger culture of innovation, throughout this Initiative, is measured in two ways.

By offering increased support for innovators in the early stage of their entrepreneurship journey, expanding the diversity of entrepreneurs and improving the number of high quality supporting structures and programs, West Australians will be enabled to explore innovation and improve their innovative capability.

View the website for a summary of each funding stream, and consult the Funding Guidelines for specific information.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Hub Director Cecily Rawlinson.
