3. Equity in Action Project

The Equity in Action project aims to lift community voices as a form of evidence by sharing stories of successful equity-driven initiatives from across Canada. This repository of positive narratives can facilitate learning and connection among public health practitioners in Canada and guide equity-based planning through pandemic recovery and beyond. Our collection now has 13 stories, in both English and French, from 5 different geographical locations, including Alberta. The equity-driven initiatives focus on housing, employment, harm reduction, trans-inclusive health and more.

4. KT Canada Seminar Series: Creating a Pediatric Clinical Pathways Learning Health System

Presenter Dr. Leigh Anne Bakel is a Pediatric Hospitalist at Children’s Hospital Colorado where she also serves as a Medical Director of Clinical Effectiveness and the Director of the Clinical Pathways Program. She will present on developing a Clinical Pathway Learning Health System where clinical outcomes from children cared for using Clinical Pathways are used to adapt and improve Clinical Pathways to further improve outcomes.

6. Implementation Science 101

This one-hour webinar will cover the ins and outs of Implementation Science (IS).
  • Dr. Lindsay Nettlefold will provide a brief introduction to IS, exploring what it is and why it is important.
  • Dr. Sarah Munro will present a hybrid effectiveness-implementation trial that involved embedding contraception shared decision-making tools in clinical practice.
  • Dr. Sonia Singh will present a multiple case study of the implementation and spread of an evidence-based model of care to prevent recurrent fractures in BC.
These examples will demonstrate the importance of understanding the implementation context when translating evidence-based tools into clinical care and illustrate the practical strategies for designing implementation science trials.

9. Implementation Science Discussion Groups

13. Mustard Postdoctoral Research Award in Work and Health
Application Deadline: March 24, 2023


This award supports the development of outstanding new researchers in the field of work and health congruent with the mission of the Institute of Work and Health. It aims specifically to build capacity for innovative multidisciplinary research concerning the relationship between work environments and worker health. As such, the award is open to a range of academic disciplines including social, behavioural, and organizational sciences, as well as clinical and population health sciences.

14. Knowledge Mobilization Community Liaison

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health's (CAMH's) Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Knowledge Mobilization (KMb) Community Liaison. The KMb community liaison will focus on identifying and developing new partnerships across Ontario; and strengthening existing ones to connect and support a more evidence-informed Ontario mental health, substance use, and addictions system.
