Matching Grants Make Your Help Do More
The goal of Binc’s assistance is to help bookstores and comic shop owners and staff get back to a financially stable place when they are facing an unexpected emergency, so that they are not in the same position of choosing between critical bills like rent, heat, food and medicine the next month. But sometimes the need is greater than the help Binc can provide with a single grant.
That’s when Binc and a bookseller or comic retailer rely on the power of community. With a Matching Grant, Binc can add up to an additional $2,000 to money the grantee and their community raise. Grantees often raise the funds through a crowdfunding platform, but other kinds of fundraisers can also successfully meet the need.

Binc's Mental Health Wellness program, which provides short-term support to employees and owners of U.S. bookstores and comic shops, includes life coaching. Life coaching can be an effective way to work on goals to take your career or store to the next level or try out new ways to invest in your personal well-being.
