Wet Felting a Fantasy Flower
Tuesday, January 31st
Heartland High School Commons, 124 Idaho St., McCall
5:00-7:00 PM
Jan Bittenbender $35
Wet felting is one of the world’s oldest forms of cloth-making. We will use this technique to form a beautiful, fun flower using merino wool and silk/bamboo fibers. It will be embellished with curly locks and made into a brooch. Students will have their choice of two color schemes.
Jan is a local artist who for years designed beaded jewelry. About 4 years ago, she learned wool-felting techniques and now makes felted pictures, gloves, scarves and flowers. She loves teaching and has been sharing this fascinating art form locally and in the Sun Valley area for the past year.
