The Love that Downtown BuiltValentine’s Day Giveaway |
|
We are loving the stories (and photos) we've gotten so far with our Love that Downtown Built Valentine's Day Giveaway promotion. Submissions for this will be open through Monday, February 13 - share your stories with us and receive a Valentine from HDR (while supplies last)!
Here's a sneak peek at one of the love stories that came through. We think this photo of the happy couple outside of Wonder Skateshop was a WONDER-ful idea!
"Though neither of us is originally from Harrisonburg, we both found our way here at pivotal moments of our lives. Harrisonburg is where we each figured out who we were and our place in the world. We built friendships here. We built our careers here. And we found each other while we lived here. Though we have since moved away, Harrisonburg will always have a special place in our hearts because it's where our story began." - Paula + Sam M. |
| Downtown Insider First Look
When you submit your love story, you’ll receive these Downtown Harrisonburg Valentine’s Day sticker sheets as a thank you (while supplies last)!
One lucky submitter will also win a $25 Rocktown Kitchen gift card for their next outing in Downtown Harrisonburg. | |

Lineage |
On February 1, our Friends at Lineage, will be celebrating their 5 year anniversary since opening its store at Shops at Agora. Lineage first opened its doors with a small space at Agora that housed its sewing studio and small retail shop. Since it first opened, Lineage has grown to occupy a much larger footprint in Agora, where customers can explore their handmade products along with a collection of unique and thoughtfully made goods from more than 150 artisans, local makers, and small like-minded brands. Last year, they added a second retail store in Richmond, and expanded their workshop, where owner Paul Hansbarger and fellow staff still make their beloved bags and candles in small batches.
To celebrate the anniversary, Lineage will be offering 10% off storewide from February 1-5 in-store and online. Stop by their shop on Wednesday, February 1 to help them celebrate, with complimentary refreshments from Heritage Bakery and Sage Bird Ciderworks.

| "It's hard to believe that it's been five years since we first opened our store at Shops at Agora. Since first opening our 250 square foot shop in February 2018, our little brand has grown by leaps and bounds each year. We're incredibly grateful for the ongoing support and love the Harrisonburg community has shown us these past few years. Here's to another five!"
