🏆 Rozi Plain's Prize is a thicket of riddles 🏆
and gently warped folk” (The Guardian)
Listen to Rozi Plain's PRIZE

Happy (belated) album release to Rozi Plain whose new album PRIZE came out a few weeks back. And if you're in the United Kingdom, Ireland or France, catch her on tour through March — with a few British festival dates tacked on this summer.

Rozi's solo music is released by our friends at Memphis Industries, not on the Brassland label. However, we do act as music publisher for her whole catalog of songs via our sister company Brassland Projects Inc. So we can full-heartedly recommend this FoB (Friend of Brassland): chill and intricate krautrock rhythm — folk roots with an ambient sensibility — and a melodic yet meditative vocal chill that makes it all go down smooth.

People dig her new record!

“the England native’s mixture of free-floating indie folk and cozy electronics relishes in stillness, calm and subtly abstract” — Pitchfork

⭐⭐⭐⭐ — MOJO

𝟴/𝟭𝟬 “resonant but unfussy songs distinguished by a balance of up-close intimacy and understatedly elegant composition, attuned to the power of repetitive flow” — UNCUT

To dip in, click above to see watch lead single "Agreeing for Two." It was playlisted by BBC 6 Music and features her This Is The Kit bandmate Kate Stables in the video and the buzzy, inspiring weird-jazz icon Alabaster DePlume on saxophone.

We first got to know Rozi in her role as bass player, accompanying vocalist & provider of core spiritual vibes in This Is The Kit. In getting to know her, we noticed how often she’d pop up in all manner of collaborative scenarios — performing and recording with Alabaster DePlume, serving as side person to Anais Mitchell on tour, and as key member of the Total Refreshment Centre music community in London. Rozi’s that person who makes audiences and artists feel a bit better, happier, lighter on your feet & cooler in your skin than you did before you bumped into her.

One time she traipsed across London to offer one of our bands an amp or a cable or something for no other reason than she was like “Hey I bet this would be helpful.” (Pretty sure she was lending a hand to Buke and Gase?) Anyway, yay Rozi.

p.s. If you want to put Rozi's music in TV shows and stuff, please be in touch! We can help with that.
