We are happy to welcome Archbishop Foley Beach, Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church in North America to St. John's Parish Church Sunday January 29th. Please join us at Haut Gap Middle School. We will also have a reception after the worship service at Resurrection Hall, 1811 Paulette Drive, Johns Island, SC.

The Most Reverend Doctor Foley Beach is the Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church in North America (www.anglicanchurch.net), and he is Chair of the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON; www.gafcon.org) representing over 50 million Anglicans worldwide. He also serves as the Diocesan Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the South (www.adots.org), headquartered in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. A graduate of Georgia State University, the University of the South, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Archbishop Beach has ministered with Young Life, the Episcopal Church, and the Anglican Church in North America. His A Word from the Lord radio ministry can be heard on radio stations in the U.S. and around the world on the Internet. Attention Newcomers to St. John's Parish Church

You are invited to attend a welcome luncheon after worship on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Resurrection Hall (1811 Paulette Dr. Johns Island). We would like to formally welcome you to the St. John's Parish Church family, answer any question you may have, and share some food and fellowship together. Childcare will be provided.

This lunch will serve as the launching point for our Confirmation Class that begins later in the spring. We will discuss St. John's mission and ministry, membership, and confirmation (or reaffirmation). It will be a great time to get to know each other a little better.

Anyone who began attending St. John's Parish Church since July 2022 is welcome to attend. The invite is also extended to anyone who has never gone through confirmation or has confirmation-related questions.

Please RSVP by February 1, 2023 to Fr. Jeremy+ or Lori Moore.

Blessings in Christ Jesus,

Fr. Jeremy+

The Third Path
A Writer's Journey on the Path of Questioning

Saturday February 18, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m..

What are you doing here?
Where did you come from and where are you going?
What did you  come into the desert to see?
What do you want me to do for you?
What is that in your hand?

In this day-long workshop, Eva Marie Everson shows writers the method God used with her to bring her writing to a deeper level, her role in Christian publishing to a higher place, and her heart to a new understanding of what it is exactly that God wanted from her.

This workshop requires registration please contact Bonnie Anderson or Timothy Griggs.

Activities include construction related work from painting to pouring concrete, working with children doing Bible school-related activities, or most-importantly spending time building relationships and being like the moon (reflecting the Son's light).
