2023: The year of imperfect environmentalism.

Below, we’re sharing ways you can take action against climate crisis, writing love letters, linking two job openings at Ocean Generation, a fun climate solutions quiz, and more.

Let’s get into it! ⬇️

Here’s the thing:

The planet doesn’t need a handful of perfect environmentalists. It needs billions of us doing what we can, learning as we go, and always striving to do better.

This year, embrace imperfect environmentalism with us.

We know talking about the problems is important (we can’t solve them if we don’t understand them, right?) but talking about solutions is what’s critical to driving actual, tangible progress. So…

🥁 Drumroll, please. 🥁

We’re focusing on solutions.

More than ever, we’ll be spotlighting solutions to human-made threats the Ocean faces and sharing how our Ocean is at the heart of it all.

Some of the most impactful solutions to the climate crisis (like cutting greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to renewable energy) simply aren’t actionable to most of us on the daily. So, what is?

➡️ 5 individual actions you can take *today* to make an impact.

You’re one in 85, 910.

“What impact did Ocean Generation and Ocean Academy make last year?”

If you wrote a love letter to the planet, what would it say?

This February, we want to share your love letters to the Ocean with the rest of the Ocean Generation and Ocean Academy community.

Consider: How does the Ocean make you feel? What do you love about being outside? Which aspects of our big blue planet should people appreciate more?

Your love letter can take any format and can even be anonymous. Find out more.
