All-Church Vote
February 5 immediately after 10:30 AM worship
Immediately following the 10:30 AM worship service on February 5, the church will meet to vote on a motion for FMC to join the Global Methodist Church. Please plan to join us for what is planned to be a brief, but vital moment in the life of FMC.

Valentine's Banquet
Saturday, February 4, at 6 PM
Don't miss this chance for a night of fun with the ones you love while also supporting our fantastic Youth Ministry! Your ticket(s) include:

Core Groups
Groups being meeting the week of Sunday, February 26
Join a Core Group for this 7-week Lenten study as we go through the MasterWork study, “Joyful Surrender: 7 Disciplines for the Believer’s Life” by Elisabeth Elliot. Core Groups are small gatherings of up to 8 people that meet weekly, either on Zoom or in-person, during Lent for fellowship, relational community, and accountability. Each meeting is around 50 minutes long.

Staff News
SPRC is very excited to share that Trey West, our current Worship Production Director, is moving into the position of Communications Director of First Methodist Carrollton. We are very excited for Trey to take on this role! He has some great plans on how we can not only communicate with our congregation, but also how to communicate to our neighborhoods the Good News of Jesus and His Love.
Trey will play an important role in filling the position he is leaving, and is helping facilitate the transition process to be as seamless as possible. Please take time to congratulate and encourage Trey!

Dedra Rainey has been a great asset to the ministries of First Methodist Carrollton as the Children's Fine Arts Director. Over the years, she has served the church in many capacities, including leading music and worship, directing the children’s choirs, teaching and directing music for the weekday preschool, and volunteering in a multitude of ways in our children’s ministry.
As a part of on ongoing effort to shape the staff in a way that best fits FMC's ministries, SPRC has determined that the position of Children’s Fine Arts Director should be incorporated into the job description of the Director of Children and Discipleship Ministries. We are very happy to report that Dedra will remain as the Director of Music for First Methodist Carrollton’s weekday pre-school.
Dedra's great commitment to the ministries of First Methodist Carrollton is much appreciated. This change in our staff organization does not reflect on the long and fruitful service that Dedra has given to FMC. Please take time in the near future to share your appreciation for her work and service to First Methodist Carrollton.

In Other News...
- Missions Week will be February 12 & 19! At 6 PM on February 19, we will hold an International Dinner featuring foods prepared by our members and Conversation Hour participants from their home countries. The Cambodian Fellowship will provide the main course, and guests will be able to taste new foods and chat with the people who prepared them. Get more information.
- First Kids needs volunteer teachers during the 10:30 AM service for our BLAST! Children's Church. There is flexibility in your commitment. We need help training and discipling the next generation of believers! If you are interested, reach out to Tiffany Briley.
