Kansas Day is coming up--Celebrate by stopping by the Library to view the display windows about Kansas in the foyer, work on the Kansas jigsaw puzzle, check out a Kansas book, and/or grab some Kansas coloring pages and worksheets!
Join us for our year-long Reading Challenge for Adults and Teens,  Celebrating 100 Years of the Progressive Women's Club and the Valley Center Public Library.  We will read through the decades beginning with the 1920s.  For information and logs, visit the Library or click here:

Digital Valley Center was created to preserve, showcase and make available for public examination and enjoyment, historical photos and documents from the early days of Valley Center, Kansas, the Progressive Women’s Club, and the Valley Center Public Library.  The 1887 Official Atlas of the State of Kansas digitization project is undertaken in partnership with the City of Valley Center, the Friends of the Library, the South Central Kansas Library System, and a grant from Menocause: Ignite Valley Center. We will continue to add pages to our collection on Digital Valley Center.

Inclement Weather Policy: The Library staff and curbside service will be unavailable whenever USD262 Valley Center Public Schools close or declare a remote learning day for the district for inclement weather.  In the event there is no school scheduled or where all the USD262 schools are doing distance learning, the Library Board and/or Library Director will determine if the Library will close due to weather.
